    Federal Government increases VAT from 5 to 7.2%

    The Federal Executive Council has approved a proposed increase of Value Added Tax from 5 percent to 7.2 percent. The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this to State House correspondents after an FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
